How to Install Joomla Instant Messaging Module?

1.Download Joomla Instant Messaging Module

2.Install the Module in Joomla Admin Panel

OPEN: Joomla Admin Panel -> Extensions -> Install -> Upload Package File:

upload mod_webmessenger.zip

3.Configure 123 Web Messenger Client

1). Copy 123 Web Messenger client folder from <123webmessenger server installed directory>/client to <Joomla root directory>/wmclient

2). Open <Joomla root directory>/client/js/config.js, set webpath to <Joomla root directory>/client

4.Integrate 123 Web Messenger with Joomla User Database -- Two Ways

The First Way:

1). Open <123webmessenger server installed directory>/server/etc/groups/default/server.xml

Find <integrated-other-database>None</integrated-other-database>

Change it to <integrated-other-database>URL</integrated-other-database>

Find <auth-url charset="UTF-8">http://localhost/login_chat.php?username=%username%&password=%password%</auth-url>

Change it to <auth-url charset="UTF-8"><Joomla root directory>/modules/mod_webmessenger/login_chat.php?username=%username%&password=%password%</auth-url>

2). Restart 123 Web Messenger Server.

The Second Way:

1). Log in your 123 Web Messenger Admin Panel --> OPEN: System Settings --> Integration Panel --> Find: DataBase --> SELECT: URL --> Edit

2). Change URL

http://<JOOMLA install directory>/login_chat.php?username=%username%&password=%password%
Note*: The %username% and %password% are variables and canâ€™t be changed.

3). Press OK to save your setting.
